European PLG Meeting

The latest European PLG Meeting took place in Vienna on 23rd & 24th September 2010 and again proved to be another successful PLG meeting, attracting delegates from over 15 countries. The organising committee were very honoured to be able to welcome Dr Martin Bartenstein, Member of Parliament, to offer his views on the future of the pharmaceutical industry in Austria and Europe as a whole.

The meeting consisted of two days of presentations and workshops covering topics as wide ranging as ‘medicines for neglected diseases ‘ to the battle in the generic market. With Vienna bathed in sunshine during the meeting, one of the workshops was even presented ‘al fresco’ in the beautiful Stadtpark opposite the InterContinental Hotel, Vienna.

With over 150 senior business development and licensing executives under one roof, networking, networking and then more networking was the order of the day. Plenty of networking opportunities were available, with a pre-meeting drinks reception arranged on the evening of Wednesday 22nd September, and fireside chat networking dinner on Thursday evening.

We would like to thank all of the speakers who kindly gave their time to present at the meeting, as well as our 9 sponsors that gave the organising committee great support through the event. We hope that everyone enjoyed the meeting and we hope that many of you will be able to join us for the 10th Anniversary IPLS in Barcelona, 21st – 23rd September 2011.
