The PLG is launching a new MSc course in Pharmaceutical Business Development and Licensing in conjunction with the University of Manchester.  .  This modular course is run on a distance learning basis and is now open for registration.

PLG UK Introductory Training Course

This course takes delegates through the partnering process – commencing with the identification of the correct strategy, through due diligence and negotiation to eventual implementation. En route, the tutorial sessions cover key elements of the licensing process, including an in depth look at Intellectual Property Rights and the Financial Analysis of deal terms. Comprehensive documentation for the course is provided, the tutorial components cover -

This is an interactive two-day course which provides delegates with practical in-depth analysis and tools for pharmaceutical licensing and business development. The advanced course builds on some of the subjects covered in the PLG Introductory Course, more specifically

  • Equity Participation in Deals
  • Advanced Financial Analysis Techniques [e.g. options valuation]
  • An Alliance Management case study
  • Negotiation and Interpersonal Skills
  • Analysis of Current Deal Values
  • Parallel imports
  • Review of Contractual Issues including EU competition law

A key part of the course is panel session where delegates review a number of real-life deals and address how to manage the problems that arose in these case studies.
